RMPUNSS

Picture

Picture
An improvisational act of rearranging, Jenna Junk evokes an ever-expanding landfill where she plays amid futility and potential energy. Delving further into the modularity of hacked object-combinations produced from trash and e-waste, the performance utilizes RMPUNSS (Repurposed Modular Percussive Units for Networked Surround Sound) as a support structure for the body. The rattling is controlled via WiFi as well as physical pressure placed on the can modules. A modified CD player turned wearable instrument, and e-textile analog synth are among the devices encouraged to join the cacophony.

Performed live at Experimental Sound Studio, Chicago, IL. February 7, 2020.
